of our TMBC brothers Richard “Captain Pepper” would like to inform

might that happen? Are you praying for his imminent replacement?
Should you be? PLEASE PRAY for archbishop Gervais, his decision,
and then his replacement. Let’s all pray that God’s will be done
and that Mother Mary’s right bishop will shepherd us here!
Please see Graham's

To the men of the diocese;
It is with great excitement that my brother

next men's breakfast to be held at Annunciation of the Lord Parish
on Saturday May 6, 2006 from 8:30 - 10:30 am. Our guest speaker
will be John O'Brien, Founder of Wayside Academy in
Peterborough, board member for Maryvale Academy and son of famous
author Michael O'Brien. John is a very gifted speaker and his
topic will be, "
Raising our children Catholic and the role of private Catholic
education ".
We anticipate this to be a sold out event so do
not hesitate to reserve your spot by either responding to this
email or calling me at one of the numbers listed below. Money
is payable only at the door and prices are $10 for adults and
$5 for students.
God Bless!

p.s. Proceeds of this breakfast will go to Maryvale
Academy, a new private Catholic school in Ottawa. Unlike other
private schools, tuition fees are maintained at a level affordable
to the average catholic family. Bursaries are also available to
a select number of needy families. Maryvale Academy is a non-profit
charitable organization with the ability to issue tax receipts.
There will be an opportunity to donate if you were to choose to
help us with this worthy cause.

Request Prayer for Companions of the Cross May
Assembly
Greetings.
The Companions of the Cross will meet in formal
'Assembly' the first week of
May near Ottawa (May 1st-5th). This gathering will bring together
all of the priests of our community and many of our seminarians
as well. At this special meeting, which takes place once every
six years, matters affecting our community's life, vision, and
ministry will be addressed, various amendments to our constitutions
and rules discerned and voted upon, and a new Executive Council
elected. We are kindly asking all of our supporters to please
keep this upcoming Assembly in your prayers. Seek the Lord's blessing
and wisdom for us, so that there will be a smooth resolution to
the many important matters that will be discussed and voted upon.
If you feel so inclined, we are even inviting some of you to 'sign
up' for a half-hour of intercessory prayer for us during our Assembly.
Here you can find a special link to a page on our Companions'
web site explaining how you can sign up to be a part of this 'prayer
vigil':

Red
Friday
Just keeping you "in the loop" so you'll know what's
going on in case this takes off.
RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you
will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason?
Canadians who support our troops used to be called the "silent
majority". We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love
for God, country and home in record-breaking numbers. We are not
organized, boisterous or over-bearing. We get no liberal media
coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.
Many Canadians, like you, all
our friends, and me simply want to recognize that the vast majority
of Canadians supporting our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity
and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this
Friday -and continues each and every Friday until the troops all
come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every red-blooded
Canadian who supports our men and women afar will wear something
red
By word of mouth, press, TV --
let's make Canada on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming
football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this
country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends,
and family. It will not be long before Canada is covered in RED
and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority
is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media
lets on.
The first thing a soldier says
when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?"
is...We need your support and your prayers. Let's get the word
out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear some
thing red every Friday.
IF YOU AGREE -- THEN SEND THIS ON |

Jim:
Sorry to be so slow at getting back to you. Here is the full version
(I had edited it) of the poem I read for Palm Sunday. It is by F.
W. Pitt:
The Maker of the universe,
As Man, for man was made a curse.
The claims of Law, which He had made,
Unto the uttermost He paid.
His holy fingers made the bough,
Which grew the thorns that crowned His brow;
The nails that pierced His hand were mined,
In secret places He designed.
He made the forest from whence there sprung
The tree on which His body hung;
He died upon a cross of wood,
Yet made the hill on which it stood.
The sky that darkened o'er His head,
By Him above the earth was spread.
The sun that hid from Him its face,
By His decree was poised in space.
The spear, which spilled His precious blood,
Was tempered in the fires of God.
The grave in which His form was laid
Was hewn in rocks His hands
had made.
The throne on which He
now appears
Was His from everlasting
years;
But a new glory crowns His brow,
And every knee to Him shall bow:
The Maker of the universe.

Hello everyone,
We hope you are all doing well these days. The
weather seems to be getting a little better.
I am just writing this mass e-mail to inform you
of a great event that our school board is putting together.
We are having a "Catholic Family Faith Day"
at St. Francis Xavier in Hammond at 1pm this Sunday April 30th.
We are kicking off with mass and then we have all kinds of activities
planned for the students and parents. Food is free for kids and
$5 for adults. There is lots of food. I thought perhaps this would
be a good time for the Netters and CCOers to wear their shirts
to show their organizations. There will be a lot of high school
students.
We also need some help coordinating three bunnock
games. So if anyone is interested please call us at 321-3885.
By the way NET Staff, can you bring your bunnock
set to our house at any point? Perhaps, we can pick it up! Where
is the Bunnock?
Please pass this on to everyone - This day is
dedicated on preserving
Catholic Education (4 schools are involved).
Thank you,
God Bless,
Cherylene Fitzsimons
