Ever work in the kitchen at St Mary's? Well then if so, you know
that we are in need of some modern equipment {dishwasher and fridge}...
WELL I have been asked to head up a fundraising project to get it
done. I am planning on us starting off with an event that will not
only help us kick off the project, but will also entertain us. Have
you seen the Gospel of John? It wasn't in town very long. Even if
you did see it - lets see it again - together - and as a fundraiser.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tickets will be $7 for this event - which is cheaper than the normal
theatre prices and allows us to make some money for our project.
Also the snacks are cheaper than usual - In addition the cinema
also donates a % of the snack bar to the organization. So come to
eat up ... and don't worry about your Lenten abstinence ... we are having
this opportunity in just a few days - next Friday March 19 {YES
a solemnity of St Joseph - you don't fast on a feast}. Folks - I
need to know - ASAP - how many tickets do you want. The map and
all other details are available at the following link: www.familycinema.org
... Please promote this to all of your friends, and have them
contact us for tickets GospelJohn@virtualministry.ca

I remember a homily many years by Fr. Bob when he referred to the
gospel of John as the gospel of love. The mission only reinforced
this for me.
Keep up the good work with your ministry

Hi Jim , I wondered if this would be an interesting topic for Virtual
Ministry . I just finished listening to a 5 part series of tapes
on the Shroud (which Marty Tate lent me) and was overwhelmed with
the evidence supporting the authenticity of the Shroud. I was
in awe at the interesting facts revealed by its study and thought
others may too benefit from this knowledge. In addition to this
article posted here http://www.catholicherald.com/saunders/04ws/ws040304.htm.
I have also include the link to the Shroud of Turin Official website

What's Up With the Ugly Baby?
Everyone's asking about the Passion scene where Satan is carrying
a hideous infant. by Mark Moring | posted 03/01/04
"Please explain the symbolism in the scene showing Satan holding
a bald baby. Thank you." That's just one of dozens of e-mails we've
received in the last few days, asking about a surreal scene in The
Passion of The Christ where Satan is shown cradling a hideous baby
who looks like he's about 40 years old.

Rob McColeman was when a dozen of us were discussing this VERY question!

being hit by a car.
Sorry folks about my early release - you will have to wait for next
week - to catch Cindy Radosevich's weekly inspiration... but Dan Gutoskie's
new page, will start off with some St Patty's humour:
From: Guy Dacquay
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew
the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it, because
you get up first, then we don't have to wait as long to get our
coffee." The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around
here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just
wait for my coffee." Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides,
it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies,
"I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened
the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that
it indeed says.... "HEBREWS" AMEN !
